After the shocking mid-season finale of "Pretty Little Liars," fans are now wondering what will happen next in the show. According to Pop Sugar, the show will return with a time jump of five years and it seems like a new bad guy will be coming after Ali (Sasha Pieterse). In the video for the next half of the season, Aria (Lucy Hale) says "He's coming for you," and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) follows by saying, "it's too late, he's already here."

In an interview, show creator Marlene King dropped a few hints about the show's new bad guy. According to her, there will be a major reason why the girls, after five years of being apart, will be coming back to Rosewood. She added that the show will have more new secrets and lies and a new mystery will unfold.

With this, fans are reportedly wondering if Season 7 will be the last for the show. King said that they still have enough story until the end of Season 7 and it is really up to the fans whether the show will continue with Season 8.

For the second half of Season 6, Cartermatt reports that King confirmed that viewers will see more of Charlotte a.k.a. CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray) in the future. The viewers will also reportedly know what will happen to her five years later.

During the recently concluded Television Critics' Association press tour, King said that the possibility of the show to continue for an eighth season is high. According to Christian Post, King also talked about the possibility of a movie. She said in the event that the production team is open to that.

In an earlier report, Lucy Hale hinted that a possible movie is on the way; however, she said that the seventh season will definitely be the end fpr the show. Shay Mitchell also expressed her excitement on the idea of a movie and even suggested that the movie be done in other countries like in Europe or in Tahiti.
