Ronda Rousey's consistent abbreviated wins over her UFC counterparts especially her "masculine look" have been getting not-so-nice remarks from her bashers.
Months after her stint in "The Expendables" movie franchise, the six time bantamweight champion answers to body shaming critics in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" interview according to an article on the dailymail.co.uk. Ronda voiced out during her AMA regarding questions relating to body image and feminity. She gave a most honest answer by saying "Women are constantly being made to feel the need to conform to an almost unattainable standard of what's considered attractive so they can support a multitude of industries buying sh** in the pursuit of reaching this standard". Outspokenly true.
The same article also mentioned Rousey's past as a former bulimic.'It feels very liberating to be free of the guilt that used to come with every meal...And I feel like I have so much extra space in my brain now that I'm not constantly thinking about the next meal and trying to eat as much as possible every day while still losing weight," she was quoted as saying in response to a fan's question regarding Ronda's past eating disorder.
Another article on hngn.com featured Rousey fighting back by saying this to her haters "I'm just like, listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than f---ing millionaires doesn't mean it's masculine"
She adds "I think it's femininely badass as f--k because there's not a single muscle on my body that isn't for a purpose. Because I'm not a do-nothing bitch. That's why I think it's hilarious when people say my body looks masculine or something like that." She is currently promoting her campaign as a DNB (Do Nothing B****) for charity as seen in her official Twitter account.
This puts the foot down on the saying that goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
