Dishes (and the kitchen sink)
Always keep the kitchen sink free from dishes - it's easy to get one batch after another pile up if you don't get to them right away. And as you do that, take a step further by cleaning the sink itself - this will surely make your kitchen feel a lot cleaner on a daily basis.
Bathroom sink
It's pretty simple. You don't want glued glob of toothpastes greeting you ever morning, right?
Kitchen counters
You would thank yourself for making it a habit to take one from the paper cloth roll and swipe your kitchen counter with one hand while your other hand is on your phone.
Sweep the kitchen floor
Aside from keeping the kitchen floor dry to avoid accidents from slipping on a drop of tomato sauce, you also want to keep this floor area clean to keep it from being invaded by bugs (eek!). You really don't need to mop it every day, but sweeping away crumbs will not only keep your kitchen clean, you also won't take any track of those crumbs to other areas in your house.
Make the bed
The one small act of making your bed every morning will make coming home feel a lot nicer and make your space feel cleaner and more put together.
The nightstand
You might think that this is an odd one, but your nightstand is the closest place to your face while you sleep for hours and hours. If you let dust build up, that would also mean inhaling more dust while you are at your most vulnerable. It only takes a quick swipe to get rid of the dust and grime so do it and your airway will thank you for it.
