Medical and Recreational Marijuana have been on the loop and is currently making its way towards legalization all througout America. Numerous states have agreed in having 'pot' legalized as they recognized its benefits, though proper protocol needs to be observed in the legalization of pot. Listed below are the states that would soon have 'Marijuana' legalized as per Marijuana World News and 24/7 Wallstreet.
Ohio
On November 3, voters will be able to decide on whether marijuana would be legalized with a constitutional amendment to institute a revolutionary proposal which would create a billion-dollar industry in the next four years.
Massachusetts
The results on a 2008 ballot stated that an individual can only be fined $100 for an ounce or less of pot once caught. The impact has been drastic since the marijuana related arrest declined from 2008-2009.
Nevada
Though Nevada is already one of the states that decriminalized possession of small amounts of marijuana, it was stated that there's a huge possibility that Nevada could be the 5th state to legalize recreational marijuana use. Voters will have a chance to pass the Initiative to Tax and Regulate Marijuana in November 2016.
New York
Though New York is one of the first states to decriminalize marijuana by passing a bill in 1977, law enforcement agencies have been abusing the public-view loophole. It was stated that offenders possessing a small amount of marijuana at home is fine, but possession in a public place can cause social issues. New York City's mayor Bill de Blasio however made a step forward that the city would no longer be enforcing the loophole.
Governor Andrew Cuomo was able to sign the medical marijuana bull into a law last 2014, and as of the moment there are two bills to legalize and tax pot in the legislature.
