Anchor Bay Entertainment will release "The Anomaly" in theaters and Digital HD on September 25. It will be followed by On Demand, DVD, and Blu-ray on Oct. 6. Pre-orders of the movie are also available online.
"The Anomaly" is about an ex-soldier who has been taken captive by an organization and he only has less than ten minutes to figure out why he is a target. Cast of the movie include Noel Clarke, Ian Somerhalder, Alexis Knapp, Art Parkinson, Luke Hemsworth, and Brian Cox. It is directed by Noel Clarke who also worked on "Star Trek Into Darkness" and "Doctor Who." "The Anomaly" is written by Simon Lewis. This movie is produced by Unstoppable Entertainment and The Tea Shop and Film Company.
The story of "The Anomaly" is about Ryan Reeve (Clarke). He was able to escape from the people who kidnapped him but he only has a little more than nine minutes to solve the puzzle of why some people want him dead. He wakes up in a van together with a boy (Parkinson). He was startled to know that it has been five years since he last had his consciousness. He learns that he is in the middle of a futuristic conspiracy and his only bridge to reality is Harkin Langham (Somerhalder), who explains to him how to deal with his blackouts. As he comes to deal with switching between parallel universes, he pairs up with Dana (Knapp) to determine the mystery that is threatening his life. With Harkin affecting his every move, Ryan must stick to his will to change his programmed future and redeem his humanity.
"The Anomaly" is Ian Somerhalder's latest movie. He will take part as Harkin, a role slightly different than what he has done before. The Anomaly is a sci-fi action film that will give audience a mind boggling plot as well as a heart pumping adrenaline rush.
