Disney has recently announced its new toys-to-life game "Disney Infinity," and this includes a new play set for the "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens." The characters that are included in the play set are Finn and Rey, which were reportedly featured in a promotional poster for the "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" that was released yesterday, a report from Gamespot said on Monday.
Gamespot details below the announcements made by Disney Interactive during the D23 event:
- "Marvel Battlegrounds play set coming in March 2016
- Hulkbuster and Ultron Disney Infinity figures will be released before then
- A Disney Infinity area is coming to Disney Cruise ships
- Newly confirmed Disney Infinity characters: Spot from The Good Dinosaur, Judy and Nick from Zootopia, and Peter Pan
- This year's Ultimate Unlock will be Sora's Keyblade from 'Kingdom Hearts III'"
A related report from Forbes has also disclosed that aside from the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" playset that will be featured in the "Disney Infinity" video game, there will also be a four-player "Marvel Battlegrounds" playset and " Kingdom Hearts" crossover weapons, including an illuminated "Light FX" lightsabers for figurines.
The report also stressed that the limited edition of "Light FX Wars" characters are said to be the new feature of "Disney Infinity" figurines. According to Forbes' report, these lightsabers will light up once they are placed in the so-called "Disney Infinity" Base.
Fans will be able to collect the figures of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader which are part of the "Star Wars Rise Against the Empire" play set. Added also are Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, which are from the "Star Wars Twilight of the Republic" play set. Kanan Jarrus from "Star Wars Rebels" is also included.
"Disney Infinity 3.0" will be launched on August 30.
