Apple TV Rumors: Live TV Service Postponed to 2016?

A recent speculation has surfaced this week saying that Apple's new live video service, the Apple Live TV, will be launched anew in 2016. Unnamed sources who are privy to Apple's plans reportedly claim that the company lacks the appropriate computer network capacity for its live video service.

It was reported earlier that Apple's Live TV service will be launched during the company's September 9 fall event. However, if the speculation is true, Apple will officially launch its new Apple TV sans the live video service next month, a report from Yahoo said on Sunday.

According to Yahoo, the Cupertino-based company will likely postpone the announcement of its live video service for its new Apple TV. The report, however, confirmed that Apple will eventually push through with the launch of its Apple TV, but customers, for the meantime, will have a cable or TV subscription in order to watch live network television.

The report also noted that part of Apple's business strategy is to improve its television programming in order to revolutionize and change the landscape of live television. Apple's new strategy is actually the same model used in Apple Music, which allows Apple users to enjoy dynamic services in music, information and entertainment.

According to a report from Venturebeat, Apple wants to deliver a TV content package with a price tag of $40 a month. The price is said to be cheaper compared to what most of the costumers currently pay for cable subscription.

Apple is said to have been negotiating with NBC for its TV service. The Apple TV service, according to the report, will become a direct competitor to Comcast, a company that also offers video service.
