Lucky Blue Smith Becomes One of Fashion’s Most In-Demand Young Adult Models

In an age where Instagram has become the fastest way for models to increase their appeal, like with Matthew Noszka and Kendall Jenner, Lucky Blue Smith just might be the next poster boy for the young and the gorgeous. Smith's high Instagram follower count, 1.3 million followers, has made him in-demand in the fashion industry. This is considered to be a high number of followers in the photo-sharing app, given that male models never reach as much popularity as female models.

He also has 350,000 followers on Weibo, China's answer to Facebook, a sign of his growing popularity in markets as far-flung as Asia. As a comparison, Victoria's Secret Angel Lindsay Ellingson (@lindsellingson), who was with the fashion label from 2010 to 2014 and has walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show multiple times, only has 0.763 million followers.

First scouted at the age of ten by Next Models, the 17-year-old modelling sensation is already being called the "Justin Bieber of the fashion industry." According to Starpulse, he has worked as a print model for Levi's, Tom Ford and GAP, and has also walked on fashion shows for well-known fashion labels like Versace, Veneta Bottega, Balmain and Etro.

He also has a band called "The Atomics" with his model sisters (also with Next) Daisy Clementine, Pyper America and Starlie Cheyenne. His family is Mormon and apparently, modeling is in their blood since his mother and paternal grandmother are former commercial and runway models.

As early as now, he is already predicted by Style Magazine as one of the hottest menswear models of 2016, along with Sean O'Pry of "Blank Space" fame. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, when asked about his feelings on being the "male model of the moment," Smith says that it is "weird" and that he doesn't understand the fascination.

Lucky Blue Smith is definitely lucky as what his name defines, now that he has hit the modeling world by storm.
