'Bella Thorne' Got Bashed for Caling Out PewDiePie at the Teen Choice Awards

Bella Thorne got in the bad side of social media sensation PewDiePie and was mobbed on TwitterVerse for calling him out. Thorne allegedly failed to say his name right while presenting the Male Choice Web Star nominees during the Teen Choice Awards 2015. Fans reacted negatively to the notion saying that the actress has nothing on PewDiePie, especially when he is more famous than her.

Last August 16, 2015, the celebrity-packed Teen Choice Awards 2015 commenced. Among the attendees were Bella Thorne and boyfriend Gregg Sulkin, the presentors of the Male Choice Web Star at the event, reported E! Online.

While it was Thorne's turn to say her piece and acknowledge Felix Kjellberg A.K.A. PewDiePie as one of the nominees, she blurted out, "Felix something, something, something, you know what? Be here if you want to hear the rest of your name".

PewDiePie currently has over 38 million YouTube subscribers and over six million Twitter followers, making him one of the most celebrated social media stars on the year. Thus, he received a nomination for Male Choice Web Star.

Despite his popularity, the award was granted to Cameron Dallas.

PewDiePie might have lost the award but his fans were furious, not because he lost, but because of how Thorne addressed him at the Teen Choice Awards. TwitterVerse, to be specific, had numerous posts that were directed at Thorne saying:

Ouch! Throne got more than she bargained for! Fans indicated that it was improper for her to belittle saying PewDiePie's name right given that he is even more famous than her.

She responded with,

On other news, Thorne also has her own share of negative critics, not regarding the PewDiePie issue, but related to her relationship with Sulkin.

Despite Thorne being just 17, she and Sulkin were showing off their love for each other during the Teen Choice Awards, holding hands, kissing on the cheek and saying endearments at each other such as "baby" and "sweetheart." This did not sit well with the critics, reported TMZ.

Apparently, some though that their behavior was inappropriate since a 17 year old were expected to be less intimate in public. Some said that their canoodling could not have been a proper conduct, given that they were at the Teen Choice Awards where thousands of teens are around.

Despite several negative reactions relating to Bella Thorne including her relationship with Gregg Sulkin, she did apologize to PewDiePie fans and clearly indicated that she and her boyfriend's family allowed them to be together, especially when she's nearly 18.
