It was earlier reported that "Pacific Rim" star Charlie Hunnam will be playing King Arthur in an upcoming film, and just recently the actor hinted some of the plot twists the audience could expect in the film. Hunnam will play the iconic character in the Guy Ritchie reboot of "Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur."
According to Fashion & Style, Hunnam revealed that his take on the medieval legend will be a more relatable version compared to the other King Arthur films. Hunnam described his character as a "hustler" and a "survivor."
The actor said in an interview that the legend of King Arthur was the story which inspired him to be an actor. The "Sons of Anarchy" alum revealed that he fell in love with the story as a kid and would watch any of the movies which are related to the story.
Hunnam also revealed that he went through intense training for the role compared to his training for "Pacific Rim." Based on the reports, it seems like the movie will feature a lot of action scenes which will involve sword fighting.
As Hunnam explores his craft through different movie roles and television stints, rumors are circulating that he is the "Sons of Anarchy" star that was recently teased to be making an appearance in the new Kurt Sutter creation, "The Bastard Executioner."
In an earlier interview, Sutter hinted that there will be one "Sons of Anarchy" star that will be joining the cast and people speculated that Hunnam might be that guy. However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sutter revealed that although Hunnam wants the role, he is unfortunately booked for the next three years and won't have time to film another television series.
"Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur" is now in production and it is expected to hit theaters by summer of 2016.
