"Castle" Season 8 will premiere on Sept. 21, 2015 in ABC. The first two episodes are already revealed by SpoilerTV as "XY" and "XX" and the episodes are a two-part opener for the season.

The show's website hints that the premiere is expected to revolve around Castle (Nathan Fillion) and that the second will open up about Beckett's (Stana Katic) changed role. Beckett is assumed to mentor Alexis on the upcoming season.
EW reported the first glance of "The Neighbor's" Toks Olagundoye for her debut role for the upcoming season. It is said that Olagundoye will play Hayley Shipton who was described from EW "as free-spirited and quick-witted independent investigator." She is tasked to assist Castle and the NYPD.
"Castle" Executive Producer Alexi Hawley said from the article: "[Toks] plays a really dynamic, fun character."
"It's a voice that the show doesn't have. What's great about her is Castle [Nathan Fillion] has been investigating cases police-adjacent, so it's always about doing things the way police would. She doesn't do things that way, so that fun dynamic of, 'No, we break in rather than get a warrant,' is kind of fun."
HNGN also reported that this season will be a time for growing up for Alexis as she may have a more mature makeover and "possibility" of first sexual romance on the season and that Hayley is going to be like an older sister towards Alexis.
Hawley said in the article of EW that, "This season is really about growing Molly up. She's been playing the child for seven seasons and now she's 21 years old. She's a grown up. This year, she's going to be more sophisticated. That relationship with her father will change because she's not a little girl anymore."
Aside from Olagundoye joining the show, Latin Post reported that "Walking Dead" Sunkrish Bala will also be seen in the upcoming season playing the tech analyst role named Vikram Singh.
"Castle" premieres on Mon., Sept. 21 at 10 pm ET on ABC.
