‘Hearthstone' Decks: Grand Tournament Expansion Includes 82 New Hero Cards And Two New Mechanics

On Monday, game developer Blizzard has recently revealed a new and final set of cards that will be added in The Grand Tournament expansion of "Hearthstone." The new set cards will feature 82 new hero cards. The cards "are allocated between Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior," a report from Gamespot said.

According to the report, Blizzard will release a new game patch on Tuesday. This confirms the company's previous announcements that all 132 new cards will be eventually unlocked sometime in August.

The report noted that Blizzard has yet to announce The Grand Tournament update. Blizzard explained that each hero class card will get nine new cards will and an additional Legendary card. It also noted that a Hunter card will get 10 new cards plus a second Legendary card.

Two new mechanics will also be added in the game. The first is Inspire, which allows card holders and players to activate a special ability when using their power. The second mechanic is the "minion battlecry called Joust."

The Joust card will pick two random cards from both player's and opponent's decks. In case the player who triggered Joust reveals a card with a higher value than his opponent, the player's minion who activated the Joust will receive a benefit. Players can reportedly actually unlock the new cards by purchasing packs of five via in-game currency or real money.

According to a related report from IGN, the next Tavern Brawl will be called "The Grad Tournament Match." The said match will reportedly pit the mage character Medivh against Alleria, the hunter. The report pointed out that both card decks will be pre-built in order to highlight the various aspects of Blizzard's upcoming Grand Tournament expansion. The Tavern Brawl is said to end on August 24, according to IGN.
