"If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?"
This was the ultimate question being asked by none other than the dim-witted male model Derek Zoolander, played once again by actor-director Ben Stiller, as seen in the teaser trailer for "Zoolander 2". The said trailer was featured in an article by the latimes.com. And true to its word, the teaser video doesn't give away hints to what the plot would be for the new story, however it offered a sneak peek inside Zoolander's brain, which started with a Stephen Hawking type narration on the universe's existence, as well as the birth of the title character. References to the first "Zoolander" and an intro to words like "eugoogly" (whatever that means) contributed to the upcoming funnies that the sequel would give to fans of the movie.
Another article on the rollingstone.com also featured the announcement of the sequel to 2001 movie following Derek Zoolander and Hansel strutting their stuff during the Maison Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week. Stiller was quoted as saying of the sequel in a 2010 MTV interview as "In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it's changed - it just happens so quickly. I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that it's 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody remembers who they are, so they have to reinvent themselves."
Still in the same article, he also confirmed this bit on Instagram, posting a photo of himself and Wilson, captioning with "Apparently Derek and Hansel have come to terms on #Zoolander 2." Will Ferell will return as the designer Mugatu, with Penelope Cruz as a new addition to the cast. Have a peek at the teaser trailer here.
Prepare to have tons of hilarity and dumb innocence when the new Ben Stiller movie hits the big screens on February 2016.
