As reported by cnn, there were some speculations about Microsoft collecting personal information from its numerous users worldwide. However, there are good and reasonable explanations behind this so-called privacy headache, and below are the reasons as reported by cnn.

1) Shares your personal information with Microsoft by default

According to the report, Windows 10 by default shares information about you with Microsoft. And such thing is to be found on the company's privacy policy. Everything you say to the virtual assistant, Cortana, is being fed to Microsof,t be it your nickname, your calendar of activities or even the person in your appointment lists. However, such thing could be easily removed or avoided by simply disabling the share function.

2) Borrows bandwidth from your home Internet connection

Windows 10 is said to be spying because of an activity it may allow in the background without you ever knowing it. However such activity is part of the operating system's feature which is called Windows Update Delivery Optimization. Windows 10 allows you to let your internet connection be used by others for download of app or in updating others' personal computer. In an instance that you are having trouble connecting to Microsoft server you are now able to download any update from that server from another person's device without being nuisance for such activity could be hidden in the background without the both of you ever knowing it. By doing so, updates would be faster by connecting to numerous users instead to a single Microsoft server.

3) Can share your wireless password

This feature would definitely freak you out. However no need to worry for the Wi-Fi Sense feature of Windows 10 is totally friendly. Wi-Fi Sense which allows you to connect automatically to a friend's Wi-Fi without them giving you password is not harmful, for though Microsoft enables Wi-Fi Sense by default on the new OS, it still does not share your network by default. So when a friend connects via Wi-Fi sense, they would not be able to share you networks to others. However, such feature is seen to be as a privacy headache by some experts, as reported on cnn, it says that;

"Still, Microsoft's all-or-nothing policy is potentially troubling. Choosing to share access to your Wi-Fi network with all your Facebook (FB, Tech30), Skype and Outlook.com contacts means your best friend will get access, but your stalker will too."
