Google never stops to think about what would be best for everyone, especially towards home owners.
Extremetech.com recently featured an article that Google aims to introduce this initiative of using solar energy in order to conserve power for the common people. This was taken off of earlier work from a researcher in MIT, in an attempt to achieve the same goal using a regular platform. The public may become curious enough to avail of this service in an effort to improve financial decisions with the help of Google's brand and marketing recognition. Everyone knows solar power is totally different from the energy used in residential or commercial establishments, as it is au naturel.
Still in the same article, Google's Sunroof works for participating areas/cities by taking the address and then the average hours-per-year of sunlight are measured for specific rooftops. This data, along with the quantity of energy this represents, local installation fees as well as the maximum amount of annual savings, could result in making these panels cost-effective as possible.
Another article on the geek.com also reported on this recently introduced technology by Google and that a team of developers have already introduced the said project to 3 U.S. cities, namely Fresno Ca, Boston MA, and that of the San Francisco Bay Area. Through the help of Google maps, the solar energy solution even offers cost estimates that are based on average monthly electric consumption and what people can expect for savings within a 20-year period, and also involves solar providers in these areas.
Not everyone can benefit from this technology though, as a satisfactory FICO score is a prerequisite for getting a loan to avail of this alternative energy solution, as mentioned in the same article. No need to fret right away, there are a couple of other options to secure this renewable energy.
