'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers & Premiere Date: President Fitz Pushing For A Divorce? Will Quinn Kill Huck?

"Scandal" showrunner Shonda Rhimes talked about the possibility of a divorce for President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) and First Lady Mellie (Bellamy Young).

According to UnrealiTV, the issue was asked again to Rhimes during the ABC's TGIT panel earlier this month. The showrunner vowed not to talk about potential future storylines but she said that the concept of President Fitz filing for a divorce is "intriguing."

According to the report, the speculations about the presidential divorce started back in 2013 when Rhimes revealed that she was interested in adding a divorce plot in the popular drama. She said in an earlier interview during the second season of the show that the president might be seen gearing for a possible divorce possible in the future. Although the divorce is not yet confirmed, it was revealed that the President and Olivia's (Kerry Washington) relationship will still be going strong in Season 5.

Another question fans are asking is whether Quinn (Katie Lowes) will really kill Huck (Guillermo Diaz). In the Season 4 finale, the Gladiators were squared off and Quinn had a gun pointing at Huck. Katie Lowes revealed that the premiere episode for Season 5 will pick up right where Season 4 finale left off, and she added that Quinn is still fighting with herself whether she would actually pull the trigger or not.

According to Fashion & Style, Huck is a huge part of Quinn's life but it does not change the fact that Huck killed a lot of innocent people. A lot of speculations suggest that Quinn may not go through with killing Huck as Guillermo Diaz revealed in his Instagram account a photo of his selfie in front of Huck's wardrobe rack.

Whatever Huck's fate may be, Lowes revealed that the Season 5 premiere episode will blow the fans' minds and she described it as "insane."

"Scandal" Season 5 will be back on ABC on September 24.
