'X-Files' 2015 Spoilers and Updates: Mulder and Scully No Longer Together, Upcoming 6-Part Mini-Series Will Not Be A Reboot

"X-Files" was a sci-fi horror series that aired for 9 years since 1993. It produced 202 episodes in the 9 seasons that it was on TV. Right now, it was officially announced that the said TV series will be back on screen. Last March, Fox said that the series will be back with six episodes.

David Duchovny shares with USA Today , "I'm assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We'll see what form, how many. Certainly I can't nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We're all old, we don't have the energy for a full season,"

However, in the new set, no rebooting of old favorites is gonna happen. They thought about it though. But this time they will produce new stories. "We hope to scare you in brand new ways."

As to his role, Duchovny shares that Mulder is not in a great place. He is in a dark place, as shown by his wardrobe and bad jeans.

When Duchovny gave a comment about the next "X-Files" back in June, he said, "I just read it about an hour ago and I started crying reading the first page. Even though there's only six, there will be a mix. It's not really 'The X-Files' without the mythology." He said that he is open to doing another cycle, he's just not sure about being able to do a 20-episode series at this point. He also doesn't think that Gillian could do either. However, he thinks that everyone is open minded about what happens next. He says, "Certainly we didn't bring it back with the idea of ending it."

For a very major "X-Files" 2015 Spoiler, a source gave a simple clue that will definitely change things, the two [Mulder and Scully] are no longer together. The premiere of "X-Files" is expected to be done for 2 nights. The first episode will be on January 24, 2016 and the next episode will be on January 25, 2016. The next episodes will be shown on Fox in the succeeding Mondays after that.
