A new teaser trailer for the "Destiny: The Taken King" video game has been recently released by game developer Bungie. The "Destiny" is said to get a major overhaul with the release of its upcoming expansion, The Taken King, which was referred by Bungie as "Destiny Year Two," as shown in the game's trailer. The trailer was released to amplify the Twitch live stream event for the Taken King, a report from iDigitalTimes said on Wednesday.
iDigitalTimes noted that the video game is expected to feature a new level cap, light score value, materials, an improved questing, faction allegiances, nameplate collections and other upgrades. The report added that fans can watch the stream via the Twitch website. The stream will be hosted by Senior Design Lead Tyson Green and Executive Producer Mark Noseworthy.
According to Polygon, Bungie's new video game trailer highlights a new Light system and level cap, an abandonment of Crucible and Vanguard Marks which are reportedly in favor of Legendary Marks. The teaser also revealed new Faction allegiances and some of the rewards that will be coming alongside those allegiances.
Aside from these, game developer Bungie has reportedly teased new blueprints for exotic gear, shader collections, an equippable artifact and more. "The Taken King" campaign revolves around Oryx, who is the father of Crota. Players will also hear additional dialogue from Nathan Fillion as Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6.
"The Hive army would have infected the Earth were it not for the efforts of Eris Morn, and the Guardians who heeded her warnings. Now, Crota is dead, and Oryx, armed with a dark power beyond anything we've yet to face, is coming to take his revenge. Oryx wields the ability to control a twisted army of vile corruptions known as the Taken. These new enemies have been wholly consumed, possessed by the Darkness, bodies and mind twisted into service of their King. Now, they are bent to a singular purpose - our eradication. Along with an arsenal of all new gear, Guardians can discover and wield devastating new powers. Claim and master the Titan Sunbreaker, Hunter Nightstalker, and Warlock Stormcaller. Board the Dreadnaught. Face The Taken King," reads a description of the "Destiny: The Taken King" as posted on Bungie's website.
"Destiny: The Taken King" will be released on September 15, and there will be two editions that will be released: the Legendary and Collector's Edition.
