Kym Marsh and ex Matt Baker dating news swirled online since they were spotted getting close again lately. Reports say that they might have rekindled their romance since Marsh, 39, called off her engagement with fiancée Dan Hooper.
The former "Hear Say" singer came out to clear the dating rumors and stated that she and Baker, 25, are just friends. The actress slammed the latest controversy and claimed that there's no truth to the rumors involving her and the personal trainer, Daily Mail reports.
"Matt and I have been good friends for three years. I am enjoying his company but we're certainly not in a relationship," Marsh said.
Marsh has reportedly been devastated since she broke off with her former fiancée. The "Coronation" actress claimed that her ex Matt has been a friend and she said that he always cheers her up, Mirror reports.
"Matt's a lovely guy and we both enjoy hanging out together - we're both single and we share the same friends and he's cheered me up," she said.
The 39-year-old claimed that there's really no basis for the latest dating rumors since she is single and she reportedly wants to remain such until the right time comes.
Marsh and Hooper announced their split last week. According to some reports, the "Corrie" star called off the engagement with Hooper after raising spat with his ex-wife Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie Waring. According to some sources, Waring claimed that her ex and Marsh' breakup was some kind of "karma," according to Huffington Post.
Waring and Hooper were together for five years before separating in January 2014. Six weeks after they parted ways, Hooper and Marsh started dating.
Marsh also has a tale of failed marriages and romances. She was previously married to EastEnders star Jack Ryder and Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas. The actress was also engaged five times.
