After her split from boyfriend Robert Pattinson, "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart has finally returned to the spotlight to promote her new film "On the Road." And she is doing more than just promoting her movie.
According to reports, Stewart has bought a property in Malibu with her mother. She's been staying at various places after moving out of the $6 million home she shared with Pattinson. But now with this purchase in Malibu, the star finally has a place to call home.
The secluded beachfront three-storied property is reportedly worth $4.8 million and has an oval shaped guest house, Celebdigs.com reported.
The house, spread across 5,800-square feet, is modern in design primarily made of glass and steel. It also has minty green accent walls and frosted glass accents, according to the website.
Though public records show the property as belonging to her mother Jules Mann Stewart, the "Snow White and the Huntsmen" actress seems to have footed the bill, Celebdigs reported.
Meanwhile, the house Stewart shared with Pattinson before her affair with "Snow White and the Huntsmen" director Rupert Sanders became public is up for sale. The couple purchased the house in Sept. 2011, but currently nobody is staying at the Los Angeles mansion.
Pattinson is reportedly planning to shift base permanently to the UK, sources close to the actor told the Radar Online.
“Robert is thinking long and hard about returning to London,” a source close to the star said. “He’s selling his home in Los Angeles, not only because it holds bad memories, but because he wants a fresh start. He never fell in love with Los Angeles and has always longed for home. When Kristen was shooting Snow White and the Huntsman in London, he made his excuses to visit her as much as he could - he missed it so much.
“Despite making friends in America, Robert longs just to have a pint with the mates he grew up with in a local west London pub. He’s just a regular guy. He is set to make up his mind very soon – his family hasn’t put pressure on him to return – but he misses them very much and they’ve said they’d welcome him back with open arms,” the source told Radar Online.
