‘Bea Arthur Estate’ Bought By Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall

The buyers of the Bea Arthur Estate are Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall. The estate has a house of Spanish approach and sold for $14.925 million. This real estate property was previously a home to two-time Emmy award winner and Golden Girls star Bea Arthur until she met her maker in 2009 at the age of 86.

LA Times reported that the initial market price for the property was at $15.995 million. Film Producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall bought Bea Arthur's estate for $14.925 million. The area of the house was increased to 6,000 square feet and remodeled since it was constructed in the 1920's by renowned architect, Cliff May. Cliff May was known for his indoor/outdoor touch for residential design.

The front of Bea Arthur House has a two storey door entrance. The living room has a fireplace and is adorned by skylights. Other features comprises of a bar, an art studio, a formal dining room, a library and study room, dual offices, a media room, a den, a gym, a powder room, five full bathrooms, five bedrooms and the kitchen leads to another room with another fireplace. The whole estate covers four acres of land and is planted with sycamore trees and mature oaks. It also has trails, a tennis court and a swimming pool with a spa.

Hollywood Reporter says that the new owner of Bea Arthur estate, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, are co-founders of Amblin Entertainment along with Steven Spielberg. Other than producing, they are also known in the real estate sector for buying and selling properties to the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Steven Seagal, Tom Selleck and Tom Hanks.

Kennedy who is now 62 years of age was producer for "E.T." and the Jurassic Park franchise. She currently is working on the Star Wars Saga "The Force Awakens" scheduled to hit theaters on December 2015.

Frank Marshall, now 68, produced movies such as Back to the Future, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Sixth Sense, and upcoming movies Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and another sequel of Jason Bourne

For $14.925 million, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall are now the happy owners of the Bea Arthur. The listing agent of Westside Estate Agency was Kurt Rappaport and the one who represented the buyers was Coldwell Banker Stanley Richman.
