According to TV Fanatic , the preview of last week's "The Last Ship" episode 10 entitled "Friendly Fire" of TNT's post-apocalyptic drama entailed that the ship is now heading on to New Orleans wherein the team experienced torpedoes causing deaths of 10,000 civilians. Also, on that episode, Tom eventually finds out about the logo "Valkyrie." He is now headed for accusations regarding the firing in New Orleans and confides to Rachel that Niels was the only one to help him regarding the publicity. But because Rachel killed Niels, she just felt sorry for the position that Tom is currently facing. Rachel would have to be placed in the quarters regarding her criminal actions even though the crew is supporting Rachel and appealing for her not to face the said terms. Though a lot had happened from that episode, the good note was that Rachel eventually found a cure, a booster vaccine that can spread like a common cold to help cure the virus.

According to Cartermatt, the Navy team of Tom Chandler will now face discredits due to Sean Ramsey's plan of perforating them from the American citizens. It was told that Sean is planning to set-up the team responsible for the devastating event that happened on New Orleans.
Chandler's men need to determine positions and actions on how to destroy Sean's threats. They set up to infiltrate their system in the process and to eventually win the trust of the people. As Chandler's team further investigates on this, Nathan James find some traces. The team finds it in the middle of the ocean in a mysterious podium.
When the team locates the source, civilian armies are forcing them to back down as these forces were allies of Sean. Chandler must make an optimum plan for this take off to find the needed information from the platform and ensure that he along with his men will be back safe to Nathan James.
