‘Halt and Catch Fire’ Cancelled on AMC? Kerry Bishe Lands A New Role

"Halt and Catch Fire" has one of the greatest stories on TV and it isn't really such a wonder why critics and fans are fighting for the show's future on AMC despite getting poor ratings from Season 2. Now, the question of whether or not the computer drama will be renewed or cancelled for Season 3 remains.

Will "Halt and Catch Fire" Be Renewed for Season 3 on AMC?

The future of "Halt and Catch Fire" is still up in the air, as AMC has not yet given a word about its plans to renew or cancel the series. However, rumors are already rife about the computer drama getting axed after its finale ratings hit an all-time low, as compared to the show's ratings from Season 1.

The season finale episode of the show titled, "Heaven is a Place" gathered only 485,000 viewers, which is the show's second to the lowest rating following its June 21 episode titled "Play with Friends," which only gathered 451,000 viewers, International Business Times reported.

The outlet also noted that the show has failed to maintain its solid ratings from Season 1, which received an average of 760,000 viewers. This makes the future of "Halt and Catch Fire" uncertain, despite receiving a huge support from critics and loyal fans.

Movie News Guide pointed out, however, that there is still a bit of hope for fans, as AMC still decided to renew the show for Season 2 despite receiving not-so-great ratings from Season 1.

While the future of "Halt and Catch Fire" is up in the air, Kerry Bishe is keeping herself busy, as she has recently landed a role in the Showtime drama, "Billions," said The Hollywood Reporter.

Bishe will be playing the role of Elise who is an "alluring young musician" who will push Bobby (Damian Lewis) into questioning some of his choices. The show will premiere on Jan. 17 on Showtime.
