"Lego Dimensions" has unveiled a new trailer which reveals a Scooby Doo Team pack and features Scooby, Shaggy, the Mystery Machine and a Scooby Snack. With this, avid Scooby Doo fans will be able to customize their "Lego Dimensions" experience. Aside from the Scooby Doo Team pack, other characters and objects from Ghostbusters, The Wizard of Oz, Portal 2 and more were also featured in the trailer, iDigitalTimes reported on Wednesday.
"The trailer starts with our pals Scooby and Shaggy getting a pizza and a mysterious box delivered. Once the box is opened, Scooby uses the included bricks to build the LEGO Gateway to bring all of the minifigures to 'life' in 'LEGO Dimensions.' The trailer then jumps to in-game footage of what players can expect with the Scooby Doo Team Pack," wrote iDigitalTimes in its report, describing the video.
According to the report, players will encounter 14 additional levels in the game and these include the "Ghostbusters area, the house from The Simpsons, characters from DC comic books, a Portal 2 test chamber, an arena from either Ninjago or Chima sets, the Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz, and more."
"Scooby-Doo and Shaggy will each have their own abilities and the Mystery Machine and Scooby Snack can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects that do entirely different things in the digital game for massive variety. Either character can also unlock the Scooby-Doo Adventure World, an open-world environment which provides additional open world gameplay content separate from the game's main story which allows players to explore iconic Scooby-Doo locations, race, solve puzzles, and more," the BrickFan stated.
Polygon described the trailer as "a double delight, not just because it gives us a bit more information about the Starter Pack and what it contains, but also because the gameplay is sandwiched between two wonderfully retro Scooby cartoon moments."
"Lego Dimensions" is slated to be launched on September 27 in North America and September 29 in Europe for PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
