"How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 is just a month away from its premiere which is on Sept. 24. According to CarterMatt, the mystery drama is set on a different approach on telling its story, for its second season premiere, it will already reveal who Rebecca's (Kati Findlay) killer was.
Aside from this first revelation on the second season premiere of this series, Rebecca's death also plays a major part on the upcoming season as noted from its showrunner Peter Nowalk from the interview of The Hollywood Reporter, he said that:
"It doesn't go away. Just like anything in our show, I don't want anything to be forgotten. Just like Sam's murder, Lila's murder - yes they're dead, but the consequences of that continue to reverberate. The same is going to happen with Rebecca. Some people will know she's dead; some people will know who killed her; some people will think she's missing. She plays a big part in season two, even though she's dead."
Apart from Rebecca, Sam and Lila's deaths, we might not be able to expect more deaths reverberating the upcoming season as Nowalk said that, "There doesn't have to be a formula; there doesn't have to be a murder every season, just as long as the characters are full." The exciting part about the interview was when he said that the upcoming season will be filled with "new mysteries."
Nowalk also told The Hollywood Reporter that he actually doesn't have a set theme for the season but if there is, he said it would be about:
"What has Annalise (Davis) wrought? How does she live with herself doing all the bad things she does? That is something that every character is dealing with thematically: We did this terrible thing, why don't we just turn ourselves in? Why do we want to keep going? It's an existential crisis."
The upcoming season will indulge audience to excitement as the play on the story is very unlikely and which makes it more riveting and appealing to anyone.
