Selena Gomez recently expressed her desire to work with Zayn Malik. The "Good for You" singer revealed her admiration for the former One Direction star and told him that she's waiting for him to reach out to her regarding a music collaboration.
However, Selena has reportedly set a condition for the collaboration to push through. HollywoodLife.com claims that Selena will only agree to collaborate with Perrie Edwards' ex if she will apologize to her BFF Taylor Swift. Apparently, when Selena teased Malik for a collaboration, she had no idea about the Twitter rift that took place between Malik and Taylor's boyfriend Calvin Harris on the same day.
Although Selena admitted that she has always admired Malik, sources say that the 22-year-old singer is now having second thoughts about the collaboration.
"Right now, she says there's no way in hell she would work with him on anything," the insider said. "He needs to first apologize to Taylor and Calvin, before she would even consider doing anything music-wise with him."
In an interview with Manchester's Key 103 radio station, "The Heart wants What it Wants" singer revealed that the former 1D hunk was cool and that she's looking forward to working with him in the future, Mirror reports.
"I know Zayn, so it's almost like if he would ever want to reach out, he knows that he could."
The 22-year-old singer dished that she loves the 22-year-old newly single crooner and that he's awesome.
"I think that's so exciting for him to go and figure out what he wants to do [in his solo career], but I don't know what that is. I think it's be pretty exciting but, yes, I love him, he's awesome."
