Up until now, many are still pondering about the controversy in the scene between "The Good Wife" Season 6 finale reunion shot of Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi, if it was done with camera tricks or editing techniques to make the two seem to film in the same room. In TV Line's just released article last Aug. 18, the issue about the controversy was tackled slightly and the creators Robert and Michelle King said they never intent to "dupe" the viewers.
According to the article, Robert said regarding the issue about the "The Good Wife" final scene between Kalinda and Alicia:
"Here's what I will say about that without going into the gossip of it... We've had reporters in the editing room before and they can see the tricks we bring to [the show]. What I don't like is how this connects itself to gossip. Just so we're clear, Josh wasn't really killed. We faked those gunshots. We fake everything in the show, so I can address this on a storytelling level that there was no intent ever to dupe the viewers. We'll be an open book there. But when it attaches to gossip, part of the privacy of the set and the privacy of what we do on the set, allowed us to keep secret the fact that Josh was leaving for almost a year before we showed that episode. Part of the shock was that we had such a tight, close-knit set - ['The Good Wife' cast and crew] know the difference between storytelling and who we are as human beings. And we benefit from that because we're allowed to have reveals be secretive. I do know what you are going after, and the only thing I will address is the storytelling. The mechanics of how we do our show is its own thing and we're usually an open book about it, until it comes down to gossip."
Although it wasn't much clear about the issue. Let's just ponder on with their future undertakings of the show. It was revealed by The Guardian that viewers can expect a new presidential candidate as its showrunner Robert King said that they are going to somehow enter a character like Peter Florrick for the seventh season of the drama. What King aims for according to TV Line is to reflect mimic real-life presidential run.
Robert King said that from the article of TV Line that, "[When] the Iowa caucus happens [on 1 February], it's going to happen in our show. We're trying to parallel what's happening on our show with what's happening in reality."
"The Good Wife" Season 7 will premiere on Oct. 4, 2015 on CBS.
