You can pick the house you want to live in but there is nothing you can really do to be able to pick your neighbors. Everyone has their own way of dealing with their horrible neighbors. A couple in Farmer Branch in Dallas found a unique way to express their frustration to their neighbor. How? By posting a sign in front of their yard saying: "House for sale by owner because my neighbor's a douchebag!"
James and Lisa Price posted the sign in their yard after being handed a $121 fine by the animal control because of their dogs. The retired couple next door were the ones who called the animal control, which became the catalyst for an all-out-war between the two neighbors.
The retired couple moved in to their area about two years ago, and have been requesting ever since that the Price couple keep their dogs inside their home until 9 in the morning because they wanted to wake up late.
The Price couple said that they have been trying to keep their dogs in until 8 a.m., even if the city ordinance set it at 7 a.m.
The Houston Chronicle featured this event and stated that the tension between the two neighbors started on Sunday morning.
"One Sunday morning a few weeks ago, the dogs "were going nuts" about something outside, and not long after that the Prices got the ticket from animal control officials. They've not paid it yet and have a court date for Thursday," says the report.
Police and City officials have tried to talk with the Price couple to take down the sign, but they can't really do anything against it because it is completely legal. James Price said that he and his wife is awaiting the retirees' retaliation.
