Sex and the City Actor Sarah Jessica Parker on the Move, Townhouse on Sale

Sarah Jessica Parker’s "Sex and the City" character Carrie Bradshaw was so sentimentally attached to her apartment in New York City that she refused to sell her apartment even after moving into a luxurious pad later on.

But in real life, Parker seems to have no problem letting go. The actress recently listed her Village townhouse for sale for $25 million.

Parker and her husband actor Matthew Broderick purchased the house for $19 million just last year, but didn’t move into the pad due to lack of privacy.

If they manage to sell the Village townhouse for the asking price, the couple will be making a neat profit of $6 million.

The townhouse has five bedrooms, a master suite that takes up the entire fourth floor and seven working fireplaces. It also has a five-zone Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning system and a state-of-the-art security system, the Daily Mail reports.

The security system reportedly includes a video intercom and five cameras.

According to reports, the reason the property is for sale is because the couple is planning to move to Brooklyn with their son James Wilkie and twin daughters Tabitha and Marion. The actor-couple have bought adjacent townhouses in Brooklyn Heights and Norah Jones and Gabriel Byrne are their neighbours, NBC reported

Meanwhile, the iconic apartment that was home to Carrie Bradshaw in the first three seasons of "Sex and the City" was on the market early this year for a whopping $9.65 million.

According to Global Grind, the four-story house in West Village at 64 Perry Street, has 11 rooms spread across 4,104 square feet.

“Besides the fact that it’s a top tourist spot, living at 64 Perry Street is not just a move, but an HBO live experience!” the website reported.
