'Frank Ocean' Out, Kanye West In for the FYF Festival

For fans wanting to have a glimpse and hear the latest music from American singer, songwriter and rapper, Frank Ocean, they would have to be dismayed because of their idol's absence at the most awaited FYF Festival.

According to the report of avclub, the Yeezus rapper decided to cancel his supposed headline appearance on the annual two-day music festival held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. According to a statement released by FYF on their website and as reported via entertainmentweekly, organizer of the event bluntly stated that;

"Frank Ocean has decided on his own terms to cancel his appearance."

Though there was no clear reason regarding the absence of Ocean on the said event, another celebrity has already taken his place. The event, which was founded by Sean Carlson in 2004 to showcase many genres of music, including rock, indie and electronic, has chosen American rapper and producer, Kanye West. Kim Kardashian's second husband, West, was chosen by the organizer to be the headliner of the said even in lieu of Frank Ocean and his enigmatic exit. In the twitter account of FYF FEST, the organizer posted that;

"FYF Fest ✔@FYFFEST Kanye West is now headlining Saturday night of @FYFFest - please visit https://FYFFest.com for details."

Together with Kanye West, music lovers would be entertained by the likes of Morrissey, Bloc Party, Flume, FKA Twigs, Solange, Death Grips, Simian Mobile Disco, TORO Y MOI, MAC DeMarco, Savages, Dinosaur Jr. and so much more.

Aside from this abrupt no show of Ocean on the upcoming fest, fans are also clamoring about the follow-up album from his critically-acclaimed album three years ago. The said new album was supposed to be out on July and was expected by most fans to be presented as part of the FYF Fest.
