Whether you like it or not, Joe Anoa'i, AKA Roman Reigns rising to be the top heel of WWE.
For those who do not have any idea what is a heel in WWE context, he is the one considered as a "bad" guy in professional wrestling. He could also be considered as a good guy who attacked another good guy, thus becoming a heel. In the recent turn of events, ascension of Reigns to the top has been negatively received by most of the wrestling fans. In sense, the clamoring of fans may be reasonable, for they see Reigns as a failed football player who out of exploit and family ties broke into the wrestling business.
However some critics and other fans see the rise of Reigns as something coming from a different angle. As to the recent report made by bleacherreport, they highlighted the qualities of Reigns and the reasons for him being a candidate as a possible top heel of WWE. In the said article, it says that;
"The fight he showed against Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 was proof positive that his character possesses immense heart, heart that has kept him among the most popular of WWE's Superstars in recent months. He never complained about the fans hating him, never whined about not defeating The Beast Incarnate and never made any excuses... He has become the quintessential protagonist in that way; he always fights and always keeps his head up, despite how many are against him. The fact that he has gotten better in the ring and has become a real workhorse has only added to his reputation."
The right elements are all lined up for Reigns to be one of the next top faces of WWE and its next top heel. Though it has been slow building process on both the wrestler and management, still all roads seems to lead there. If pursued, Reigns would have a chance to make a mark as a villainous wrestler to set foot on the wrestling history. He would soon be lined up with the likes of four horsemen and others.
