'Supernatural' Season 11 Spoilers & Premiere Date: Jared Padalecki Reveals Brothers Will Find Unlikely Allies To Defeat Darkness

As "Supernatural" returns for Season 11, the Winchester brothers seem to need more help in defeating the new threat. According to Christian Today, Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam, hinted that the new threat in the upcoming season will not be easily defeated. In his interview, he revealed that they will need all the help they can get, even if it is from the most unlikely people.

Padalecki revealed in the interview that they may have to go with people who have the necessary abilities in order to defeat the darkness. He mentioned that the brothers might ask the help of Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) or Castiel (Misha Collins).

In the Season 10 finale, Dean (Jensen Ackles) used Death's own scythe against him defeating the grim reaper and releasing him from the cursed Mark of Cain. However, this also released the Darkness from its eternal prison. Padalecki said that the brothers are going to do everything in their power to correct the wrong that they have done.

"Supernatural" producers Jeremy Carver and Andrew Dabb have revealed in the recent Comic-Con panel that Darkness will be bringing more trouble than the brothers realized in the upcoming season. According to Comic Book Resources, Carver said that Darkness is not only a threat to mankind but also to angels and demons as well.

It was earlier reported that Darkness will take in the form of a new character named Amara, who will be played by Emily Swallow. Dabb revealed that the character is special for being an "alien to this world." The producer added that they are hoping that the new character will have a big impact on the audience.

Executive producers teased that the fans will be seeing how Dean will deal with the consequences of killing Death as "Supernatural" Season 11 premiers on October 7.
