After the whirlwind finale of Season 2, "The Originals" are ready to come back for Season 3. Despite the peace Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has found while he was rocking his child Hope in the Season 2 finale, trouble will be coming to him as a consequence of his actions in the last season.
According to Christian Post, Season 3 will be an emotional ride for most of the characters as each have some sort of score to settle following the events in Season 2. It was reported that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will need some time to forgive his brother Klaus for what he did to Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) as she was cursed into being only human during the full moon.
It was earlier reported that Season 3 will be introducing some new characters including Jason Dohring who is a vampire hunter, and there will also be two new villains who will most likely go after Klaus. There will also be cast members returning, as Nathaniel Buzolic revealed that he will be returning as Kol, but he added that it is most likely during flashbacks. Klaus' other family members also confirmed to be returning are Claire Holt and Casper Zafer who plays Rebekah Mikaelson and Finn Mikaelson, respectively.
Meanwhile, Freya Mikaelson, played by Riley Voelkel, will be back for Season 3 as she plays a more important role as Klaus and Hayley fight for the custody of their child Hope. While her parents fight, she will be the one watching and mentoring Hope.
According to Master Herald, one of the more prominent relationships to be seen in Season 3 is between Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Davina (Danielle Campbell). It was reported that Davina will be asking for Vincent's opinion about certain aspects of her lif, and as this happens, the two will go further with their relationship.
"The Originals" Season 3 will return on October 8 on The CW.
