The tension continues as Claire (Lily Rabe), Wes (Barry Sloane), and Sean (Milo Ventimiglia) try to solve another mystery in episode 12 of "The Whispers." According to Venture Capital Post, their ambiguous threat named "Drill" continues to prove that he is a tough supernatural force to beat.
Reports reveal that episode 12 will revolve around the mystery as to who is the real child that this evil supernatural force controls. The mystery will reportedly cause fear not only to Claire, Wes and Sean, but also to the people in the compound.
This follows the events after Wes had taken Minx (Kylie Rogers) to the hospital when she claimed to have been suffering from an illness. Upon arriving in the hospital, Wes discovers that a lot of children have been suffering the same symptoms as Minx. In the episode, all of the children were kept in the same room, and Wes was convinced that these children have been contacted by Drill.
It was speculated that Minx is the true host of "Drill," but the mystery is said to continue on episode 12. This was reported to be the last episode before the series finale. According to Broadway World, episode 13 will be titled "Game Over," and the characters will try their best to end Drill's games once and for all.
Now that the show is coming to an end, fans are reportedly waiting for some news about Season 2. In an interview, showrunner Zack Estrin revealed that if Season 2 will be confirmed, it will explore similar themes as in Season 1, but it will definitely be told differently. He added that some clues about the plot were dropped during episodes 5 and 8 and there will be also clues on the finale episode.
"The Whispers" Season 1 episode 12 is titled "Traveller in the Dark," where Drill will try to possess another child. The episode will air on ABC on August 24.
