Megan Fox's divorce papers filed on Friday, August 21, cite irreconcilable differences. Fox, 29, and Brian Austin Green, 42, who have been together for 11 years, are apparently amicable towards each other after their split. The ex-couple is still living together in one roof. However, there were reports that they called it quits six months back.
"Things have been rocky," a source close to the couple told UsWeekly.
Fox, 29, and Brian Austin Green, 42, called it quits on June 15, according to the divorce filing. An insider told TMZ that since there's no prenup for the ex-pair, there will be a 50/50 sharing of their earnings. There is reportedly a high chance that their properties will be declared as co-mingled, which means they will have to split everything into two.
Megan's net worth is estimated at $5 million while Brian has $4 million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth. With a gap on their income, there were reports that there's a probability that the "Transformers" actress is going to pay Brian spousal support. The 42-year-old actor also reportedly has medical issues. Fox is also asking for joint physical and legal custody of the couple's two sons, Noah Green, 2, and Bodhi Green, 18 months.
Back in 2014, Fox revealed that she and Brian were destined to be together and they can beat anything that would come their way.
"You have to be with someone who loves you at your absolute worst, because you can't be an actress every moment of the day forever. Brian and I have done everything you can do to ruin a relationship and we still love each other," Fox said in the August 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan cover. "I don't want to be boastful and say that we would never divorce, but I can't imagine a scenario we couldn't work through."
Fox and Green met in 2004 and married in 2010. Green has a 13-year-old son, Kassius Green, with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil.
