Jenelle Evans was arrested again for the 13th time on Thursday, August 20, after she threw a drinking glass at her former fiancee's girlfriend.
According to police reports, things heated up after Evan's ex, Nathan Griffith, went to her South Carolina home to collect his things with his now-girlfriend. The row began when the troubled actress came rushing from her home and threw a drinking glass to the 29-year-old. Griffith's girlfriend had her head injured, Daily Mail reports.
Following the heated argument, police were called at the scene. Evans, 23, was arrested and detained at J. Reuben Detention Center for third-degree assault. Prior to the spat, Evans' attorney Amy S. Lawrence told Us Weekly that the 23-year-old had warned her ex Nathan not to bring his new girlfriend.
"It's my understanding that Nathan was asked to come get some of his things and that [Evans] would leave them at the end of the driveway so that there would be no need to have interaction between the two of them," Lawrence told the magazine. "And Jenelle had requested that he not bring his new girlfriend and he said that's fine."
Jenelle's lawyer said that as soon as the "Teen Mom" star saw his new girlfriend getting off the car, she felt threatened. At the spur of the moment, she threw water on her face and eventually tossed the glass as well. After the 29-year-old was hurt, she picked up and threw back the glass to Jenelle. The lawyer added the 29-year-old was not taken into custody.
Evans' latest arrest follows a string of litigation of cases, including attacking her ex- husband, heroin possession, stalking, harassment, violating her restraining order, breaking and entering, and beating up a girl. It was her 13th arrest in five years and the second for this year. The mother of two is also currently in a custody battle with her mom, who's currently taking caring for her son from her previous marriage, Jace, 6.
