Taylor Swift once again swept Los Angeles with her 5- night concert as part of her 1989 tour. Her first two nights set a record of all-time most sold-out shows at the Staples Center by a single artist. Now, that's really something.
According to vanityfair.com, Taylor's guests got wilder and wilder as the weekend rolls in. Last Friday, Kobe Bryant graces the stage while holding up her banner. Then on Saturday, the real surprise had begun.
Mary J. Blige joined Taylor on stage and sang her hit "Doubt" and "Family Affair." The audience went wild seeing Mary bumping sides with Taylor during their performance and Taylor even said "you know we got to get it crunk."
"Orange is the New Black's" Uzo Aduba also joined the party and performed a duet of "White Horse" with Tay- tay but as the night went on, Taylor's guests got quite weirder.
Sean O'Pry, Taylor's co- star in "Blank Space" music video appeared on- stage together with Chris Rock and Matt LeBlanc during her performance of "Style." Some of the fans were baffled as what the three are doing on Taylor's concert but knowing Swift, who has "entire entertainment capital of the Western world at her disposal", she's the "Most Powerful Best Friend" and she can invite (almost) anyone on her concerts.
In a report by latimes.com [Los Angeles Times], the biggest surprise of Taylor's Saturday party was when Mary J. Blige joined her on stage. Taylor first said that she haven't performed Mary's "Doubt" before. The song was taken from Blige's latest album, "London Sessions" and the bigger surprise opened when Taylor called Mary herself to join her on stage.
Mary was one of the most powerful R&B singer for the last two decades and it's believed to be a ballsy move for Taylor to sing alongside the powerful artist. However, Taylor gave everyone a good time after she and Mary sang another hit song, "Family Affair", produced by Dr. Dre.
Taylor Swift's 1989 tour was indeed full of surprises and it's fair to expect that things might get weirder but grander on the last three days of her five- day concert tour in Staples Center.
