After hopping from the Boston Celtics to the Dallas Mavericks to the Sacramento Kings (a one-time $9.5 million contract) in a little less than a year, and after a disastrous one-season run with the Mavericks and a hamstring injury that caused him to sign with a relatively up and coming team like the Kings, Rondo is now having trouble selling the five-bedroom house he purchased in 2008 in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
Originally listed at a price of $2.5 million, and staying on the list for almost a quarter of a year now, the selling price of the house was recently cut by half a million. The house, located in 9 Fridolin Hill, now stands at $2 million.
According to The Realtor, the house measures 6,513-square-foot and has five full baths and two half baths. It features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and limestone floors, a coffer-ceilinged dining room, two dressing rooms, an entertainment room, a game room, and a balcony. It is located near a reservoir and is surrounded by a privately-owned land. In the listing, the home is described as a "private oasis" because of the way it is surrounded.
In an interview with The Boston Globe, Rondo says, "When I first toured this home seven years ago, I immediately knew this property had to be mine. It is an extraordinary property, and my family and I absolutely loved living there. We especially appreciated being part of the Lincoln community, which was always welcoming and warm to us. This was a very lucky house for me, and I have nothing but fond memories of my time here."
The home is represented by Rosemary McCready of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Weston, Massachusetts. The property is worth the price as it was filled with happy memories. The Rondo family will surely keep memories of the house in their hearts, wherever they may be.
