Barack and Michelle Obama Celebrate 20th Anniversary, Presidential Debate Eve (SEE PHOTOS)

Twenty years ago today, President Barack Obama promised his bride, Michelle Obama, to spend the rest of his life with her.

On Wednesday morning he tweeted, "Twenty years ago today, I married the love of my life and my best friend. "Happy anniversary, Michelle."

The first lady replied on her twitter account, "Happy 20th anniversary, Barack. Thank you for being an incredible partner, friend and father every day. I love you!"

According to Us Weekly, the couple invited about 200 guests to their wedding at Chicago's Trinity United.

Public Relations Executive Yvonne Davila, who is a close friend of Michelle, told Us Weekly, "It was beautiful. Her dress was beautiful. She was happy. She was marrying the man she loves."

The two, who met in 1989, are now proud parents of 14-year-old Malia, and 11-year-old Sasha.

Unluckily, with tonight being the first presidential debate between Obama and Romney, the celebration of their special night is postponed.

The first presidential debate will take place in Denver on Wednesday, at 9 p.m.
