Nicki Minaj Threatens Mariah Carey With Gun, Nick Cannon Furious (WATCH VIDEO)

Mariah Carey, one of this seasons 'American Idol' judges claims many people overheard fellow judge Nicki Minaj threatening her.

"If I had a gun, I would shoot the bitch," Minaj allegedly said after the two had a heated argument during the 'Idol' auditions on Wednesday.

Carey told Barbara Walters before Thursdays 'The View' that although she "doesn't feel comfortable emotionally" working with the artist, she will continue with the show. The singer has hired extra security to protect her from the 29-year-old artist, in case something goes awry.

The 42-year-old singer told Walters the argument between her and Minaj started when they both disagreed on a contestant in Charlotte, N.C.

After a meeting about the incident, on Wednesday, Minaj walked up to Carey and said, "I love you but we might fight again."

According to Walters, Carey responded, "No we will not."

Minaj posted on her Twitter Thursday and said, "Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she's a black rapper. Lmao. I'll then hit up Barbara n milk it."

She later on added, "Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence."

According to ABC News, when Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, heard about the fight he told Access Hollywood, "When you think about what the show is actually about and represents, I feel like it's taking away from the quality of what 'Idol' is all about."

"This is about people accomplishing their dreams, experts guiding these young people to do what they've done."

Although Cannon heard his wife lashing back at Minaj in the video, he added, "My wife is the strongest and classiest woman that I've ever met."

"If you watch the video, she just maintains her composure. I don't think she's moved by the theatrics and pageantry of it all. She signed up to do a job to help young people, this is like a sidebar. I hope that's not what this show becomes, about the cat fights," he said.
