'Iron Maiden' Dedicates a Full Album to the Late Robin Williams

Iron Maiden has not made an album for over five years. However, they recently completed a double LP entitled "The Book of Souls" as a dedication to the late comedian Robin Williams. Furthermore, the band recently released a video from a song in the album and are expected to tour this coming 2016.

Last August 11, 2014, the celebrity world bid goodbye to one of the comedy industry's best actors, Robin Williams. He lost the long-term battle against depression. Upon his death, several celebrities mourned his passing including the rock and roll band Iron Maiden.

Recently, the band's front man, Bruce Dickinson, was interviewed y Italy's Courriere Della Sera. During which, he revealed that he and the band was able to complete their first album in five years entitled "The Book of Souls" and dedicated it to the late Williams, reported Consequence of Sound.

Furthermore, Dickinson also stated his dilemma concerning the life of Williams saying, "I ask myself how could he be depressed when he always seemed to be so happy."

"My favorite song is one I didn't write," Dickinson stated. "It's 'Tears of a Clown,' one of the album's best songs according to Dickinson.

Dickinson apparently suffered his own personal battle with a cancer diagnosis that enabled him to reflect on the life of Williams. In fact, he stated, "I realized something was wrong with my body when a strange ball ... the size of an apricot...," stating how he was able to realize that he got cancer.

Dickinson also added, "In the first five minutes you wonder: Why me? Then reflect and change the question: Why not? Gradually accept and respect the opponent to beat it."

As Ultimate Classic Rock reported, "The Book of Souls" is due to release this coming September 4, the latest album of the band after their previous hit album "The Final Frontier."Furthermore, they are also expected to go on "The Book of Souls" Tour come 2016.

When Iron Maiden's front man was able to realize that he got cancer, he and his mates commemorated the loss of another celebrity star that lost his battle with depression. After having created the album "The Book of Souls," iron Maiden was able to assess that Robin Williams and his legacy deserved the honorary.
