The house used for the 1970's scary film "The Amityville Horror" is on the market for a shocking price.
The owners of the Tom River, New Jersey home have chopped off the demanding price, which was $1.45 million and are now asking for $955,000.
Odalys Fragoso explained to CNN the reason for listing this famous estate.
"My husband and I are getting a divorce. It's not that the house is haunted or anything," Fragoso said.
"We had wonderful times in that house."
Fragoso and her husband purchased the house for $795,000 in 2001, Donna Walesiewics, the real estate agent selling the house, told CNN.
"If there were a curse on it, I wouldn't be in it," Walesiewics said.
It is what it is, a nice old stately home."
According to CNN, the residence is 3,370-square-foot, spread out over half an acre. It has a furnished basement, a lounge in the attic, hardwood floors and a two-car garage. There is also a pool and a dock.
"The property alone, being on that river, you have that southern exposure, its just a beautiful home," Walesiewicz said.
She also blamed the reduction of the price on the poor status of the housing market.
"The housing market has dropped tremendously," Walesiewicz said.
"That's why people are coming down and buying homes in cash. They aren't making money in other investments. They are putting in real estate."
According to CNN, the house caught the attention of Hollywood producers, who used the house for the filming of the real Amityville house in 1979.
