Vadim Trincher Sues Trump Tower for $6 Million Over Mold Damages

Vadim Trincher and his wife Elena are suing the Trump Tower association, and contracting company Hunter Roberts Construction for mildew-related damages to their condo in the building.

They are demanding $6 million for the damages caused by the renovation of an upstairs duplex that was once owned by Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, the Daily News reported.

The Daily News also reported that Trincher's attorney, Alexander Shapiro said that the trouble began in October of 2010, when their maid came across a closet in the guest room filled with 3 inches of water and lots of mold.

The professional poker player claimed experts estimated and told him the mold had been growing for weeks even though there was no smell.

According to the Daily News, the mold ruined custom-made, silk covered wall panels in the guest room and living room. Trincher's lawyer said the fabric was designed exclusively for the two and that it was irreplaceable. The couple is asking for $150,000 for the rare carpet and $5 million for the damaged walls.

Trincher's wife is also claiming that the mold is the reason why she is having respiratory problems.

According to the Daily News, the Trincher's bought the apartment for $5 million in May 2009. It is a 3,000-plus square unit condo with 3-bedrooms.
