Ben Higgins Officially Named the Next ‘Bachelor’ On ‘After Paradise'

After being kicked by Kaitlyn Bristowe in "The Bachelorette" episode 8 season 11, Ben Higgins is coming back strong as he was now named the official next "Bachelor" in "After Paradise." The decision was announced last Mon. by Chris Harrison in ABC's "After Paradise" just nearly a month after the finale of "The Bachelorette."

Ben was known as a sweet, genuine, sensitive gentleman from Indiana and works as a Software Salesman. After "The Bachelorette," Higgins described that his life was "pretty normal." He said based on Hollywood Life's article that "I've really tried to keep things normal." And that "Over all things have been very normal in a weird way."

And from EW's article, when Higgins was asked about his feelings of being the next "Bachelor," he said to Chris Harrison that, "It's incredible."

He also expressed that opportunities such as that just don't happen and that he is excited. Higgins also said that "People like me don't get opportunities like this, and I never would have thought that this opportunity would be something that I could have and I'm excited. Everything leading up to this has just been incredible."

In the show, he also received phone calls to congratulate him and one of which was from "Trainwreck" star comedian Amy Schumer. Schumer suggested for "phone sex" and to go her way first before heading to "The Bachelor." Schumer said in the call from the article of Hollywood Life, "I would say, don't do it! I'm so excited for you, Ben," Amy said. "I hope you find love . . . do you want to have phone sex right now? I'm so excited for you to find love, and send some my way."
