'Modern Family' Sarah Hyland Speaks About Ariel Winter's Breast Reduction Surgery

Ariel Winter's breast reduction has made the "Modern Family" star's name popular in the past weeks, and Sarah Hyland has made comments on it as well. Sarah is Ariel's older sister in the award winning show, and it seems that her sisterly concerns for Ariel is not limited to the corners of the "Modern Family" set. While at the Teen Choice Awards, Sarah shared that she is proud of Ariel's courage and success with regards to her breast reduction surgery.

"It's something we've been talking about for a long time. I'm super proud of her. I'm super happy for her.", Sarah tells E! at the awards.

Ariel once shared her pain and discomfort that caused her to decide going for a breast reduction surgery. She developed to a 32F sized breast and it was physically painful and socially uncomfortable. She is a 5 foot girl which may explain the pains, so she went down to a 34D size. Sarah sympathized with her on screen sister, saying "She's a tiny girl. We're practically the same size. I'm about a half of an inch or an inch taller than her, and I can't imagine carrying that weight." She also shares how much she sees Ariel as her little sister and how much she just wants her to be happy."She's happy and most of all, she is healthy. She's glowing. As long as she's healthy and happy, that's all that matters to me. She's always been a very happy little girl - oh, God, I will still see her as an 11-year-old in my eyes. She's really like my little sister."

Ariel successfully achieved her desired breast size and has already made a public appearance after her surgery. Her "Modern Family" family is also with her along the way. Ty Burrell, Ariel's dad in the show also said that all the cast have already developed familial ties with each other.

"You know, I think the world of Ariel and just think that she's just so grounded," Ty said. "You have kind of a weird pride about all those kids as a TV parent. They've got their own parents and guardians, and they're all very well taken care of, but you do have a sort of parental feel towards them."
