New York Yankee Derek Jeter, Finally Lands Buyer for Trump Tower Apartment

Derek Jeter has finally landed a buyer for his 88th floor penthouse condo in the Trump World Tower for $15.5 million.

The apartment at 845 United Nations Plaza was sold on Sept. 25, to a buyer named SARA RS LLC according to city records filed on Wednesday, The Real Deal reported.

The name is linked to a Silvio Luiz Reichert, whose lawyer; Sonia Col was listed on the documents contract.

The 5,425-square-foot apartment was first listed by the building for $20 million in 2010, and then right after, the listing was taken off the market.

In April 2012, Carrie Chiang and Richard Phan from the Corcoran Group listed the condo again for $17.95 million.

Jeter, who plays for the New York Yankees gave up the apartment to downsize to a Manhattan pied-a-terre apartment, since he split with girlfriend Minka Kelly, according to The Real Deal.

The residence has 16 foot floor-to-ceiling windows, a billiards room, four bedrooms, 5 and a half bathroom.

Other features include a button-operated lighting, audio, video and privacy shades system for those days that you just might need time away from the world.

Trump World Tower rises 900 feet and was opened in 2001. The Yankee batter bought the place when the building opened for $12.6 million, according to the New York Times.
