Here comes another reveal for “Game of Thrones” season 6! As we remember, The Hound was last seen in season four. However, fans-- or spies-- of the season were able to spot Rory McCann, the actor who plays Sandor Clegane in the series, residing in the quarters of the cast and crew. Is he back for season six?
Since the start of “Game of Thrones” season six filming in Belfast, Germany, several fans have been on the look-out for spoilers, especially those that were declared dead or not to be expected to show up for the latest season of the series airing this coming 2016.
Since George R.R. Martin has not been able to finish the novel that season six of the “Game of Thrones” is based upon, thousands of fans have been stalking casting calls and celebrities that show up at the filming venue. With the absence of any book reference, the “Game of Thrones” season six remains a mystery to many making it more intriguing.
However, these said fans have been doing their research impressively well as one of the characters, who was supposedly killed during season four, may show signs of a comeback.
Rory McCann, the actor who plays Sandor “The Hound” Clegane in the series, was spotted at the quarters of the cast and crew in Belfast.
As was reported by Telegraph, Clegane was mortally wounded by Brienne of Tarth and left for dead last season four. Clegane’s role in the series was being the one-time travelling companion Arya Stark, one of the lead roles played by Maisie Williams.
Since there is no apparent literature to base season six from, the report referred to the previously published one by Martin, “A Feast for Crows” of 2005, to determine the fate of The Hound. The book revealed that The Hound’s death was ambiguous since the text only stated that he was left for dead, not actually dead.
Not that the character plays a major quiver in the series, but Vanity Fair reported that a strong book theory suggested a sequence about Meribald revealing that the Hound may have survived his wounds and continued to live anonymously as a gravedigger at a monastery.
Furthermore, another theory pointed out by the source indicated that the Mountain, Gregor Clegan, and The Hound, Sandor Cleagane, might have an epic trial combat for Cersei. This might be brought up during the upcoming season, making it more exciting since a brother-to-brother combat would add more action to the screen.
In other news, sightings of other character comebacks such as Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington, also indicated that his character, although seen dead during the previous season, might play a huge role once again.
Harrington was seen several times in Belfast, the most recent one was posted by the founder of the famous U.K. dance troupe named Flawless. He uploaded a photo of him and Harrington in Belfast indicating that the actor, is filming with the cast and crew. The post was as follows:
Other season updates relating to cast sightings stated in the report include, Natalia Tena and Art Parkinson, actors that played Osha and Rickon Stark, respectively. With them present at the filming venue, the audience might expect more Stark action to the season for the upcoming “Game of Thrones” season 6. The latest season will air this coming 2016 on HBO.
