Let's face it when hearing stuff like "decluttering," "fixing," "organizing" and "cleaning" many will probably eek out and pretend to be "deaf." Those are just some of the things we sometimes try to postpone in another hour, day or even weeks, worst is months.
Elle Décor shares nine tips to prong out our organization skills and develop it naturally. Tova Weistock of Tidy Tova will help us with these simple startups we need to develop in order for us to become unexpectedly organized in no time.
1) Make your bed.
Many people neglect doing their beds but essentially this is a good startup for being organized. As Weinstock advises, "Arguably the most important activity of the day, there's really no excusing this one. Bed making promotes productivity throughout the day and will pave the way for an organized lifestyle. Plus, it's a pleasure to get into a made bed at the end of a long day."
2) Write out a to-do list.
A to-do list will optimize our plans beginning our day and surely with this, one will rarely miss out the things needed to be taken care of.
3) Tend to your clothing when you take it off.
This tip is straightforward. Weinstock advises, "Hang, launder or fold every garment and DO NOT let anything hit the floor. Neglected clothing can slowly build up and lead to an overwhelming mound."
4) Wash your dishes.
Wash dishes as soon as it hits off your sink, try to exercise this habit so you can avoid the piling of dishes in your sink which may even make you lazier to do.
5) Wipe down surfaces.
Take a little care for your sink and kitchen counters wash, sanitize it every day. This could help eliminate germs and even promote a healthier kitchen area.
6) Sort through your mail.
Practice properly sorting your mails daily avoids unnoticed bills payment and piling up of junk mails.
7) Set your keys down in a particular spot.
Proper placement of things saves time, energy and prevents frustration; practice this not only with your keys. As Weinstock advises, "Whether it's a hook by the front door or a catch-all on a surface by the entrance, make sure your keys have a destination and place them there. You don't want to spend time searching for them when it's time to leave."
8) Empty out your pockets and bag at the end of the day.
Receipts cluttered and creating a mass pile on your purse or bag, this essential tip will free you of those unnecessary messes and by this, you can also save the important ones and keep it also in an organized box.
As Weinstock said, "Take a couple of minutes to throw away any receipts or trash that you've acquired throughout the day. Place loose change into your wallet or coin jar and make sure any loose papers are filed or thrown away."
9) Plan for tomorrow.
A valuable tip that would save us time and things that we might forget the next day, As Weinstock advises, "Before heading to bed, mentally walk through the next day and do your best to prepare for it. Set aside necessary items and pack up your bag so you can grab it on the fly if need be."
