Out of the blue, the forthcoming WWE Champions 2015 has got even more exciting with the addition of Sting vs. Seth Rollins in the said event.
As reported by bleacherreport, the SummerSlam 2015 headliner fight will not be a rematch fight, or even the underwhelming Kane vs. Rollins fight. Instead the World Wrestling Entertainment chose to gamble over an unexpected fight between Sting, who was considered as the public face of the now-defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and Seth Rollins, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
The 56-year-old wrestler, Sting, would have to battle Rollins' youth and athleticism so as to prove that his time has not yet passed. Rollins on the other hand aims not only to win against the wrestling legend but most especially to prove his worth over his so-called self-proclaimed title" The Man of WWE." Especially now that some critics think that most of his significant wins are achieved with the help of other wrestlers or by mere luck. As stated on bleacherreport;
"For those arguing that Rollins doesn't need to be put over, be sure to recall all his wins as champion so far. Kane helped him beat Randy Orton, Jon Stewart essentially handed him a win over John Cena and the only way he escaped Lesnar at Battleground was sheer luck."
The appearance of Sting, during the unveiling of a statue which supposed to commemorate Rollins' victory over John Cena at SummerSlam on Sunday night, was truly unprecedented; most especially when the fans were expecting a match between Sting vs. Undertaker. But things have been done and words were already said. Triple H already announced the upcoming fight in response to the defilement of Sting over Rollins' night. And this move complements the statement of the wrestling legend as he posted on his twitter account, via bleacherreport, that;
"Whatever opportunity @WWE throws my way, I'm going to reach out and GRAB it!" - @Sting #RAW"
