The racing industry was totally shocked about the passing and tragic death of their fellow racer Justin Wilson last Monday Night. Wilson's death was due to a tragic racing accident which happened during the IndyCar 500 race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania.
Wilson was remembered by the people who were close to him as a person with unwavering kindness. On a statement via BBC given by the chief executive of IndyCar, Mark Miles, he said that;
"Justin's elite ability to drive a race car was matched by his unwavering kindness, character and humility - which is what made him one of the most respected members of the paddock. As we know, the racing industry is one big family, and our efforts moving forward will be focused on rallying around Justin's family to ensure they get the support they need during this unbelievably difficult time."
Wilson, who was considered by her wife and daughter as a loving father and devoted husband, left a mark in the industry of motor racing, both in personal and professional level. As to the words of Honda's Performance Development president, Art St. Cyr, he shared with ESPN that;
"To say that we are heartbroken over the loss of Justin Wilson would create the false impression that our pain is localized. At a time earlier in the season, when we were in a continuing struggle to remain competitive in the Verizon IndyCar Series, Justin was the guy who WANTED to be with Honda, and he demonstrated that time and again. That allows you to take the measure of the man, and we will be forever grateful for his loyalty, and the gracious and gentlemanly way he represented our company, on and off the race track."
Perhaps many would consider the race of Wilson to have come to its pit stop, but for other people the race that Wilson started would still continue to live, especially now that his organs were already donated. On a social media post of his brother and fellow racer, Stefan Wilson twitted that;
"With #giftoflife @justin_wilson saved 6 lives today. He just keeps setting the bar higher. Keep Julia & the girls in your prayers #myherojw"
